Wheeling is the mathematical practice of arranging numbers in a covering pattern to guarantee a win.

The great advantage of wheels is that they allow you to select a set of numbers (say 20) then play them in a covering pattern that will guarantee a 3, 4, 5 or 6 number win if the winning numbers are within the set of numbers that you cover.  So if your Lotto had 40 numbers you could cover 20 numbers giving you a 50 percent chance of winning.  And you still have every chance of winning the big one.
